As I mentioned in my previous post “About Me,” it has always been my dream to get involved in missions. I want to expand on that today. My desire is to bring people to the Lord and make an impact in their lives, even if they are going through toughs times. I want them to be able to experience the joy I’ve experienced in Christ, even when I’ve gone through tough times.
Before applying for World Race, God presented two scriptures in front of me that made me certain that this is what He was calling me to:
”If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine. If you refuse to take of your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give it up for me, you will find it. Matthew 10:37-39
”Then the Lord said to me,’Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.’” Habakkuk 2:2
God clearly told me through these verses, “Don‘t love your life and family more than Me, I need you to carry my message to others.”
So why am I going on the World Race? I am going because I want to obey the calling God has placed on my life, and I desire all to come to know Christ as I do. I am excited to embark on this journey, just as I am excited to share it with you all every step of the way. I am aware that it is going to be very tough at times, starting already right now. From fundraising to actually leaving, I am going to learn to rely on the Lord more than I ever have. But I trust that He is going to provide and make a way through every obstacle I face!

Hey there sweet squadmate! Your post was incredibly encouraging for me, as this is something I’ve been wrestling with a ton lately! Thank you for being bold enough to come forth with honesty and vulnerability, praying that the Lord would reveal more of Himself to you in the coming days! Grateful that we are on this journey together!
